This is an east facing view, from West Peak, accessed via Tripp Canyon Rd. This little traveled road was in remarkable shape and afforded me a chance to see a rarely seen view of the mountain. Near center of the image is the LBT, Large Binocular Telescope. One thing that this image highlights is the remarkable cliffs on the flanks of Clark Peak in the middle left center. This range is primarily metamorphic, and the major rock type is gneiss, prominent here in the very steep cliffs. Stitched in Microsoft ICE.
